We finally upgraded our central heat only to all new HVAC system. I received several quotes, but when Jerry presented me with his proposal, I was sold. I was impressed with his thoroughness and patience to answer all my questions. The price was excellent, especially considering 16SEER Carrier system with an Internet ready thermostat. The installation team were all very personable, finished the job in one day, and left my property clean with our new system up and running. All inspections passed with the city permit being issued the following day.

I would definitely recommend them to any homeowner, and if they are busy it would be worth the wait for their excellent work and experience.

I loved Family Air! They really were just like family. They installed new heating and air conditioning units and everything turned out great. They passed all the inspections 100%- in fact, the inspector told me I had hired the best and that made me feel great. It was very easy to set up the appointment. They called back right away and took care of the business as soon as possible. They were fantastic.They gave me the paperwork with the estimate of how much the entire project would be. At first, I was just going to get the heating unit but the owner told me I might be sorry if I didn't get the air conditioner installed as well. I realized he was right and it was going to get hot in this area soon, as we have been having several heat waves recently. Since we got it installed we have used the air more than the heating, and I was so glad to have the house a comfortable temperature for my baby grandson's arrival. The owner and everyone else was very polite, and after the project was complete, I told one of the workers that his boss is a wise man. I'm really glad I got the air conditioning installed based on the owner's suggestions. I really felt like I knew every one of them very well after being introduced. Their name is accurate because I really felt like they were family.

Excellent company with great integrity, skill and experience

We've been working with Family Air since our first home in 1994. Jerry and his team are always conscientious of our needs, budget and time. We recently installed a new high-efficiency system after Jerry came over to diagnose the problem. We had several quotes and diagnoses from several other companies, but only Jerry actually discovered the correct issue. Jerry even told us to hold off on replacing a second system as he said it wasn't necessary at this time. Family air was quite reasonable with top quality Carrier units. Only system I've used since 2000. We highly recommend Family Air and have done so many times. Always helpful and work on our time table. Very nice and professional teams and administrative personnel. They really are the best we have found. Again, since 1994 - that says a lot!

The staff at Family Air Conditioning and Heating are very friendly and knowledgeable, I love them! We hired them two years ago to install a brand new air conditioner. They came in, evaluated our house, and recommended one of the better systems. They put in everything that we needed and cleaned up after themselves. Now we have them come out to clean the ducts and they are very observant. We had something wrong recently and when the guy showed up he figured it out and solved the problem quickly. They're fantastic and I'm very happy with everything they do.

The BEST company I've ever dealt with!!!

I can't begin to say how happy I am with Family Air. They got a rave review from one of my co-workers. These technicians “really know their stuff” by checking all the components to make sure everything works as it should. Both the HERS and City inspectors said it was a PLEASURE to examine their work because it is ALWAYS done very meticulously! Now on the hottest days, the system will maintain the temperature I have the thermostat set on. Jerry and Peggy have a great group of talented technicians. Outstanding!!!

Our furnace and air conditioner were original to the house (built in 1973) and the duct work in our attic had disintigrated. Needless to say our system needed replacement. My brother recommended Family Air. Jerry came out to the house and looked at everything. He have us a proposal of two different systems. What a great experience. Like anyone in the position of needing a new heater/air conditioner, I started getting estimates. After getting 6 estimates and being more confused than when I started,I took a friends advice and got 1 more estimate. I sat down with Jerry Sr. and got an honest, no pressure education on H/AC. I found out that other estimates included costly bells and whistles that I just didn't need. Jerry's estimate was clear cut and spelled out exactly what I was going to get and what to expect. I was kept informed every step of the way. The workmanship was well done and professional. The installation would have been flawless if mother nature had cooperated with us, however, it rained which delayed the installation. Family Air, Jerry Sr. and the entire team are true to their word and delivered exactly what they said they would. We are now cool during the heat wavesand toasty during the big chills. Complete system install

From the first interview (with Jerry Sr.) to the payment, Family Air was a pleasure to work with. They were not only very thorough in explaining each process and need for equipment but my biggest thing was honesty. I had previously interviewed 7 other HVAC companies and got price ranges of $9k- $19k, why I have no idea, and unit options that were overboard (trying to upsell). Family Air explained in detail the reason for each piece and size of equipment as well as ducting! The install guys were great as well, never left a mess and very pleasant to talk with if I had questions. All of my family members have been using Family Air for years and have never had a problem, so it only made sense. We have recommended Family Air to a few other friends since and they have been pleased with their service as well.

Since install it has been approximately 2 months, we have used our AC a number of times and are now starting to use our heater and we are very pleased. The outdoor unit is extremely quiet and we had them move the unit from a hall closet to up in the attic. It is very efficient and we have even seen our electric bill go down!!! Split System

These are the second and third systems installed by Family Air in our house. Our first whole house system was done on a remodel and was installed to MY high standard. An absolute pleasure to do business with

I want to thank you for the work you did at my Thousand Oaks condominium. The condo is a rental and to have someone willing to take full charge of the not only the work of removing the existing and installing new heating and A/C unit but, to coordinate with the asbestos contractor, my tenant, the Condo Association office, meeting their requirements, as well as the city inspector. They're great. It was a big job, and Family Air were the only ones that would tackle it. They gave me a price and seemed to know more about what they were doing than the other companies I talked to. Family is in the Name

We have been using Family Air for years and Jerry is an incredible find. Several years ago, he came out to work on a dead unit and got me back up and running for under $200. When I asked him about replacing the unit, he told me that I could if I wanted to, but it was absolutely not cost effective and to wait for a while. When my unit went down again this time, Jerry came out on a Saturday, diagnosed it and had me up and running by Monday morning again for under $200. What price is honesty worth?

Superior Service!

Long review, but I have so much good to say about Family Air! I have had dealings with them on three occasions. First, when I needed to replace my 25 year old furnace and they were able to recommend a unit that was exactly what I needed and at a discounted price! The installation went smoothly, and the guys that put it in treated my home with great care - were very polite and courteous. Second, when I felt the airflow noise of my new unit was too much for my small condo, they came right back out and installed a different type of vent that fixed the noise issue and didn\t even charge me for labor to do it! Lastly, when I blew a fuse in the furnace unit while installing a new thermostat (dummy me for not unplugging the unit first), Jerry Sr. talked me through how to fix the problem over the phone, even allowing me to call him back after I had to run to the store to buy new fuses...saving me a service call! You rarely find a company these days that provides the exceptional service that Family Air does. I think the word “family” in their busines name is referring to the company being family owned...but in my experience I see it that they treat their customers like “family” and go out of their way to provide service that is top-notch. Unbelievably smooth process beginning to end

Family Air responded to my request for an estimate to replace our current furnace very quickly. They came out and assessed our current situation, educated us on issues we hadn't even considered, and then created a clear and comprehensive proposal for us to work with. They also sent us literature and resources for us to use in making our decision as well as the phoen numbers and names of some of our neighbors who had used them in the past. We made three different requests to alter the proposal based on our shifting perceptions of what we wanted. All proposal chagnes were done right away. When we finally decided, Family Air was at the house in a day or so installing our new unit. Their servicemen were very friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable. They walked us through the permit process and made sure we were completely up to code and compliant with all safety standards. Tehy seem to take this very seriously, as they should. After finishing their work, the Owner came out and inspected the job and asked us about any concerns or issues. Only after all that was done did they ask for payment. I paid exactly what the proposal listed, Not a penny more, even though they had some technical complications with the set up of my house. No excuses, they just did what they said they would do. Over all, this was a very impressive performance.

Job done right

Well what can I say Jerry gave me a quote and that was the cost. He said they would be here at 8 and gone by 3 and they were right on time and what a job! Professional job done fast and done right

We had a very old furnace that quit working on a cold day. After hearing a recommendation from a friend, we called Family Air. They came out quickly, diagnosed the problem, and offered to fix the aging furnace but had concerns about how much longer it would last and how inefficient it was. Family's pricing was the lowest of the three bids. The installation went very smoothly with the crew acting professionally and courteous to respond to any questions raised. They did miss installing a new vent in one of the rooms but the issue was remedied quickly once it was pointed out.

Good: as far as we can tell, everything is installed and works correctly. It's nice having the new system. There are a bunch of network cables that run close to where the old system was and new system is and they avoided damaging the cables while taking the old system out and putting the new one in. Changes to the electrical and gas supplies look reasonable. All visible elements of the system look good and it seems well secured to the roof and correctly sealed against water. Could be improved: They patched some holes in the ceiling where old vents were removed but the plaster work was not spectacular. Some pieces of insulation ended up blowing around the yard during the job and we'd have liked for them to keep on top of that better. Demo of the control panel wasn't particularly helpful.
